About Us
Longton Lane Community Primary School serves the local community, and all children are encouraged to learn to live together and to treat other people with care and consideration. The school was established in 1955 and had a phased opening of the two previous buildings. In January 2025 the new two storey school building was opened and continues to educate future generations. Our reception and Key Stage 1 children are based within the five classrooms on the first floor of the building, along with a designated library, 2 x resources rooms, a catering kitchen and large state of the art hall which is used for dining, PE, assembly and breakfast/after school club. On the first floor you will find a dance studio, a specialst classroom used for art and design technology, staff room, meeting room along with six classrooms for our Key Stage 2 children. School is very fortunate to have a large playground for each Key Stage and a large playing field which incorporates our woodland and outdoor play area.
