Year 5 - Mrs Wallace 2025 - 2026
Mrs Speed
Hello,
I hope you all had a lovely Easter break. I am looking forward to welcoming the children back for the summer term, our final term in year 5. I am excited for a busy and engaging term ahead.
Supporting the class alongside me will be Mrs. Christian and Miss Donnellan, who work closely with the children throughout the week. We will also be supported by Mrs. Gargan, who will be covering PPA time.
In English, we will be exploring an information text, The Brilliant Deep. In Guided Reading, we will begin with the poem 'If' by Rudyard Kipling before moving on to Room 13. In Maths, we will continue developing our understanding of fractions, decimals and pecentages, building confidence and fluency. I n History, we will continue learning about trains, Liverpool and our local area, while in Geography, we will focus on North America. During PE, the children will take part in dance and games.
As always, please continue to support the children at home by encouraging regular reading, practicing times tables and ensuring homework is completed and returned. These small habits make a big difference to the chuildren's progress.
Thank you for your continued support, I am looking forward to a positive and successful final term.
