Year 5 - Mrs Wallace 2025 - 2026

Mrs Speed

Hello,

As this is our final term in Year 5, we have lots of exciting learning ahead and plenty of opportunities to celebrate how far the children have come. It is going to be a busy, fun and memorable summer term!

Supporting the class alongside me will be Mrs Christian and Miss Donnellan, who work closely with the children throughout the week. We will also be supported by Mrs Gargan, who will be covering PPA time.

In English we will be exploring the wonderful world of William Shakespeare and looking closely at at some of his famous work. In Guided Reading, we will begin our new class book, Tom's Midnight Garden, which I am sure the children will really enjoy. In maths, we will continue building on our learning from last term before moving on to undrestanding, adding and subtracting decimals, helping the children grow in confidence and accuracy.

As always, please continue to support the children at home by encouraging regular reading, practicing times tables and ensuring homework is completed and returned. These small habits make a big difference to the children's progress.

Thank you for your continued support, I am looking forward to a positive and successful final term.

Mrs Wallace
