Y6 Queen's Platinum Jubilee Tree Planting
Today, year 6 were treated to a visit from two deputy Lord Lieutenants of Queen Elizabeth II. They spoke to the children about the Queen and the work she has done over her 70 year reign and then as part of her Green Canopy campaign, to tackle climate change, the class planted trees at the back of school. The two visitors said that the children were a credit to their school and would like to come back and see the children (and the growing trees) in the summer when the celebrations for the Platinum Jubilee will take place.
